Visa Conditions to Follow
All visitor visa holders must comply with the conditions attached to their visa, which may include:

- Leave Australia before your visa expires to avoid overstaying.
- Abide by Australian laws and avoid criminal activities.
Types of Visitor Visas
Visitor Visa (Subclass 600)
- Ideal for tourists, business visitors, or those visiting family in Australia.
- Available for single or multiple entries.
- Stay durations of up to 3, 6, or 12 months.
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) – Subclass 601
- Allows multiple short visits (up to 3 months per entry) within a 12-month period.
- For passport holders from eligible countries.
- Apply via the Australian ETA app from outside Australia.
eVisitor Visa – Subclass 651
- Multiple visits of up to 3 months each within a 12-month period.
- For tourism, family visits, business, or short-term study.
- Must be applied for from outside Australia with a passport from eligible countries.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for a visitor or tourist visa, applicants must:
- Show genuine temporary intent – prove your stay is for a short-term visit, and you plan to return home.
- Meet health and character standards – some applicants may need to undergo health checks or provide police clearances.
- Have sufficient funds – you must show that you can support yourself during your stay or have a financial sponsor.
Country Eligibility
- Most countries require a visitor visa to enter Australia.
- Eligible countries may apply for streamlined visa options such as the ETA (subclass 601) or eVisitor visa (subclass 651).
